The petroglphs and pictographs in the Enchanted Valley are said to be characteristic of the Molle culture... 500 to 700 AD.
If these petroglyphs were such an important part of Chile's history, I would expect a bit more protection from both the elements and visitors.
It is said that noon is about the best time to see the petroglyphs most clearly.
I was there sometime after noon.
